Dynamite Creek Medical Center Cited for 'Superior Performance'

Dynamite Creek Medical Center, an affiliate of John C. Lincoln Health Network, has been recognized for superior business performance by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the nation's principal voice for the medical group practice profession. MGMA serves 12,000 medical organizations in which more than 242,000 physicians practice.

Each year, MGMA provides its members with key benchmarking data on better performing medical groups and identifies the business practices and behaviors these groups employ to achieve success.

Superior ratings for 2006 were based on responses to a practice survey from 1900 medical groups representing 44,000 physicians across the nation. The surveys covered practice operations in detail.

Only 508 of the groups were judged "better performers" and awarded certificates of "Superior Performance" in one or more of three categories: Profitability & Cost Management, Accounts Receivable & Collections, or Productivity, Capacity & Staffing.
